Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church in South Meriden, Connecticut.
The Church of the Holy Angels is a Roman Catholic faith community led by the words of Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News of Christ. We believe
that human life has value from beginning to end and we are dedicated to providing a welcoming environment to a diverse community in all stages of life. Our parish is committed to enabling and inspiring all to participate in a growing relationship with God.
Fortnight for Freedom
From June 21 to July 4, Catholics across our nation are observing a “Fortnight for Freedom.” In his famous “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. boldly said: “The goal of America is freedom.” The Church does not ask for special treatment, simply the right of religious freedom for all citizens… This right is not only about our ability to go to Mass on Sunday or pray the Rosary at home. It is about whether we can make our contribution to the common good of all Americans. Can we do the good works our faith calls us to do, without having to compromise that very same faith? Without religious liberty properly understood, all Americans suffer, especially the poor and vulnerable who may be deprived of the essential contribution in education, health care, feeding the hungry, civil rights, and social services that religious Americans make every day.
